Accessing PrEP
in Jamaica

To access PrEP in Jamaica, you can consult a healthcare provider at any of the following locations:

Government Health Facilities:

National HIV/STI/TB Programme: They can provide information on PrEP and refer you to clinics, NGOs, and comprehensive health centers offering the medication. This program offers PrEP free of charge to eligible individuals.

You can access information on where to find PrEP in your parish here.

Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs):

Jamaica AIDS Support for Life (JASL): JASL offers PrEP services to individuals at high risk of HIV infection. JASL provides PrEP at reduced costs or for free, especially for marginalized populations.

Private Clinics:

Some private clinics may offer PrEP services. However, it’s important to check with individual clinics to confirm availability. These may not be as cost-effective as Gov Orgs.

Important Note:
  • Consult a Healthcare Provider: It’s crucial to first consult with a healthcare
provider to determine if PrEP is right for you and to discuss any potential side effects
    or interactions with other medications.
  • Regular Testing: Regular HIV testing is essential to monitor your status and ensure
    PrEP is working effectively.
